Marla Morgan
The Hands on Art program

Founded in 2003 by concerned parents and local artists,  Peninsula Hands On Art serves approximately 3,800 students in grades K-5 in the greater Gig Harbor area. Each year,  Peninsula Hands On Art provides four art projects to these students, designed centrally and presented in the classroom by trained volunteer docents. The docents teach classes using professionally developed curricula that incorporate art theory and history.

Marla serves on the board as Treasurer.  Her experience with Peninsula Hands on Art began 13 years ago when she painted a salmon at the first PHOA docent training, and watched her two boys flourish in the program while students at Harbor Heights. She is excited be involved in this organization as it continues to bring amazing art projects into classrooms throughout Gig Harbor.
